The Award
The award is a small replica of the statue of Anikó Weiss.
The subject of the award is a small replica of Anikó Weiss's sculpture. The sculpture is located in the Documentation and Information Center (DIZ) in Stadtallendorf, Germany. The DIZ commemorates the forced labor camp to which a thousand Hungarian Jewish women were deported from the Auschwitz concentration camp in August 1944.
The statue depicts the prisoner Éva Fahidi and the sculptor Anikó Weiss, expressing the desire for freedom and hope that manifested itself even under the most difficult circumstances.
Depending on the nature of their activities, the award winners may also receive financial support.
