Through my research, I aim to lay the groundwork for actively engaging with the Nazi past. Historical scholarship is not an end in itself; but rather, it provides a foundation for reflective historical awareness at the individual and societal levels. Through my work, I aim to awaken interest in historical topics among young generations at the university, as well as among a broad audience from all walks of life. Key to sparking interest and spreading knowledge is researching and sharing personal stories, as well as tracing universal, transnational issues in concrete, undiscovered stories. I am committed to communicating my work processes and findings on the history of National Socialism beyond academia—at the intersection of research, historical and political education, and remembrance work.
